No: 37958. Built 1918. 5nhp. 5 ton. Single Cylinder Portable. Supplied new to the War Department. Previous Owner’s include Hollycombe and Penwith Pleasure Park. Purchased by the present owners in 1997 with many parts missing. Work carried out include new tube plate and tubes, smoke box, fire bars, all boiler fittings, big end, regulator, safety valves, ashpan, mud holes and lagging sheets. Steamed in 2001 for the first time in at least thrity years. Named “Jill” to go with its’ stable mate “Blackberry Jack”. Owned by: The Viant Family, Mawla, Redruth.

Robey No 42129

No: 42129. Reg; RL 75. Built 1924. 8.5 tons. Compound Piston Valve Tandem Steam Roller new to R. Dingle & Sons, Contractors, Stoke Climsland and used for all of its commercial days. The engine was shot at by a German war plane whilst working for the M.O.D. at St. Eval circa 1942/43. Purchased by Joe Deacon and then sold to Mike Parsonage who after approximately two years sold it to Paul Richards of Camborne. Purchased by the late John Williams in 1989 it was sent to Roger Pridhams works in 1991 to receive boiler work and returned to its’ owner for the start of the rebuild. A tremendous amount of work was carried out by Scott Yeo at his Ponsanooth works in order that the engine could attend its’ first rally in 2005 since the late 1950’s. It first appeared at a W.E.S.E.S. rally in 1956. Purchased by the present Owner in January2009. Owned by: L. J. Solomon, St. Clement, Truro.
